CREATING A GREAT LIFE IN 2006
The beginning of a new year always
seems to present a great opportunity
to make changes in ones life, to
pursue long cherished hopes and
dreams, break away from bad habits,
disempowering relationships or
unhealthy life-styles and to move
towards greater wholeness, wonderful
relationships, healthier life-styles
and more satisfaction and joy.
The first step in creating this
great life we need to identify our
values and determine to pursue a
path that honours those. A
great, healthy and satisfying life
requires that we know who we are,
what we believe and what we stand
for.
Secondly, we must decide to do
what it takes. A great, healthy
and satisfying life results from
exploring our potential. It results
from growing, learning and from
allowing the difficult experiences
we all encounter, at one stage or
another, to make us better rather
than bitter.
We take the third step in the
right direction when we determine to
use our potential - the
qualities, abilities and gifts we
have been given - not only to make a
good living, but to also contribute
in some way towards making this
world a better place.
Last, but not least, we need to
ask ourselves what legacy we wish to
create. How do we want to be
remembered by those who matter to?
One of my most cherished mottos
comes from Ralph Waldo Emerson’s
words of wisdom: Do not go where
the path may lead; go instead where
there is no path and leave a trail.
(Ralph W. Emerson)

CHANGES I HAVE MADE FOR 2006
Challenging myself in the same way,
I too have made important changes
this year. Some of these are:
The amalgamation of my website -
The Step Stop - with the
Stepfamily Zone. This was a
difficult decision that became
necessary as demands on me steadily
increased in some of my other roles
and I began to feel overwhelmed and
overloaded and eventually became
aware that my life was getting
dangerously out of balance. As I am
a great believer, as well as
teacher, of the necessity of balance
in order to be the best person
possible, I knew that I needed to
make appropriate changes.
The building of a new website -
Sonjaridden.com This website
will, in time, serve you in the
following ways:
*
It will inform
you of all the services provided by
myself and my network.
*
It will keep
you updated on dates and times of
our courses, workshops and
seminars.
*
It will become
a vast source of information
relating to coaching, counselling
and the corporate world.

provide you with loads of links to
other important websites.
*
It will be
host to a number of affiliate
programs that will ensure that you
get a variety of input and
information on
inspirational, motivational and
other topics of interest.
Exploring a number of different
ways of offering courses to you
